Just a short walk from our Samuel Church Estate, we encourage all our guests to explore Westport Woods Conservation Park. Located in Westport, Massachusetts, this 82-acre park invites visitors to explore open fields, shady trails, and rich local history. This lesser known park offers a peaceful nature escape close to home.
Once the site of a summer camp, the land was transformed into a public park in 2018 by the Westport Land Conservation Trust. Today, it features nearly three miles of forested trails, 21 acres of open space, and a natural play area for kids. Whether you’re walking, picnicking, or simply soaking in the calm, this park provides a perfect break from the everyday.
If you’re staying at one of our coastal vacation homes in Little Compton or Tiverton, Westport Woods makes a great half-day trip. It’s ideal for families, couples, and solo travelers looking to connect with nature. When you explore Westport Woods Conservation Park, you will find trails that are gentle and scenic, and wildlife sightings are common. You’ll often hear birdsong, catch a breeze through the trees, and find quiet spots to pause and reflect.
