Where to Eat in LC

The Commons Lunch

Homemade clam chowder and clam cakes, is there more to say? Located in Little Compton town commons, it’s a great spot for a quick lunch. Look for updates on their Facebook page.

A1 Pizza

Also located in The Commons, A1 Pizza is known for it’s authentic Greek pizza, subs, calzones and salads. A perfect stop on the way to the beach! They also post all updates on their Facebook page.

Greenwood Chicken

Little Compton has a food truck! Greenwood Chicken on West Main Road is now open daily with chicken tacos and fried chicken sandwiches. You can also purchase a whole chicken, stock and eggs. Reach out to Andy here.

Where to Eat in Tiverton

Four Corners Grille & Groundswell

Heading out of LC, first stop is Tiverton Four Corners. Here you will find a wonderful variety of shops and that includes the food! The cuisine at Groundswell has been inspired by their European travels and RI’s rich agricultural heritage. Limited indoor seating is available but grabbing a seat on the porch or in one of the many gathering areas outside is our first choice. In cooler weather, you can sit by the fire to enjoy your coffee or meal!

A couple doors down you will find Four Corners Grille, offering an eclectic menu, featuring fresh, locally-caught seafood, in a quaint, casual, country setting. My personal favorite- the greek pizza!

Evelyn’s Drive-In

Serving local favorites for over 50 years! Enjoy fresh seafood along one of the most picturesque views in Tiverton. Check out their menu here which notes local favorites and gluten free options. Also the original home of Sing Out against Hunger, founded in 2013, raising thousands of dollars each year through free musical events, raffles, and donations.

Black Goose Cafe

Located close to Evelyn’s, this restaurant offers delicious breakfast, salads, sandwiches and a wide assortment of superfruit bowls. If the spaces in front of the shop are full, you can park along the opposite side of the road.

Reservation Worthy Dinners

Our two recommendations for dinner reservations in Tiverton are The Red Dory and The Boathouse Restaurant. The Red Dory is known for their fresh seafood, but if you are looking for something a bit more hardy, the Steak Frites is always a winner! We love all the Newport Restaurant Group’s venues, and we are lucky enough the have The Boathouse right here in Tiverton. Make plans well in advance to get a reservation around sunset, its Tiventon in it’s glory! We love the rotating seasonal drink menu, always something unique. And a little secret of theirs, the fish & chips are heavenly and always gluten free!

Recommendations for out of Town

Next door in Westport, we love summer nights and fish tacos at The Bayside. Located around the corner from Horseneck Beach, it’s a scenic ride too!

Another Westport favorite is The Back Eddy. Spectacular sunsets are to be found here as well, yes that is a theme around the Farm Coast. One of the top local spots for ultra fresh seafood. We love the starter of pickles and buying a pitcher for the kitchen, read more about that on their menu.

Fresh Seafood

Want to eat in the comfort of your home away from home? Pick up fresh, local seafood at these local shops.

Bridgeport Seafood

Located across the street from the above mentioned Black Goose Cafe on Main Road in Tiverton. Bridgeport Seafood is open most days 9-5. Just to be sure, give them a call at 401-624-4411.

Westport Lobster Company

Whether you need the perfect grilling fish or something inside the shell, they’ve got you covered. Visit their website here for up to date hours and selection.

Sakonnet Lobster Company

Fresh, live, locally caught lobsters located on California Road in Little Compton.

Where to get the Best Coffee

The Art Cafe

Where art, coffee & friends meet! Open daily year round, the Art Cafe is a must during your time in Little Compton. Grab a coffee from the window and get comfy in one of the outdoor chairs in the field adjacent to the Cafe. Great spot to pick up a souvenir from a local artist.

Gray’s Daily Grind

If oyu are fortunate enough to be staying at the Samuel Church Estate, Gray’s Daily Grind is just a quick walk down the road. Located in Adamsville, this is a spot to sit back and relax for a bit. Grab a coffee inside then head around the back to sit next to the winding river. You’ll notice the unique outdoor furnishings, they were made from parts of the old grist mill.

Coastal Roasters

Located in the Stonebridge neighborhood of Tiverton, Coastal Roasters is certainly a local’s favorite. Any time of the day, there is always a line outside waiting to pick up their cup of deliciousness, and if you happen to arrive (or even drive by) durning roasting time….. heaven!
